Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA), founded in 1977, provides comprehensive social support to people in need. Inspired by the Jewish principle of Tikkun Olam, "repairing the world", JFSA supports people of all backgrounds, providing professional social services to families and individuals in times of need. While the focus of JFSA is on the Jewish community, JFSA serves all individuals without regard to religion, race, age, disability, sexual orientation, national origin. Sperling, Kronberg, Mack Holocaust Resource Center was established in 1980 by an endowment from the Lloyd and Edythe Katz Family in memory of Edythe’s parents Gertrude and Hyman Sperling. The Center serves as a resource and lending library to the Las Vegas community. The Center operates in conjunction with other entities such as such as the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust. It provides print, non-print, and electronic resources free to the public to support the Council’s mission to develop programs for the education of children and adults in issues relating to the Holocaust, tolerance, and diversity.
The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada is dedicated to offering quality programs and activities that emphasize Jewish culture, identity and values to people of all ages and backgrounds. The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada provides a way for the Southern Nevada community to join together, celebrate Jewish values and instill a passion for Jewish living.
