Birthright: A flood of memories

In 2008,  I had the privilege of visiting Tzvat while participating in the March of the living. This week on Friday, June 17 I had the opportunity to return. The minute I started to walk down the set of stairs to the town, my memories came flooding back. Although I had only been there once before, and felt like returning home. In a world of constant change, it was comforting to see some things remain the same. I revisited the familiar settings, the old synagogues but I was able to see them with new eyes. Coming back to spot I was able to sense how much I have grown and changed as a person. It was especially meaningful to me to be in one of the holy city for Shabbat. This birthright trip for me started with the lesson. This trip I began learning about Kabbalah and all that it means for Jewish connection. This helped me set the tone for a beautiful Kabbalah Shabbat with my birthright through sitting on the grass watching the sunset by the Sea of Galilee. I am so glad to be able to have had this experience thank you to those who have made it possible.
