It Takes Every Member of the Team

It is that time of year again.  A time when families come together around food, friends, memories of the past, and hopes for the future.  It is a time for copious expressions of faith, asking for forgiveness for prior transgressions, and recitation of prayers that this year we will achieve the pinnacle of success and fulfillment.  I am of course speaking about the start of the NFL season and the machinations that many of us hardcore fans go through in an effort to assist our favorite team. (I digress for a moment of editorial license: E-A-G-L-E-S!)

So what does the NFL season have to do with the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas and our community?  The fact is that Football is the only sport where every member of the team on the field has to do their job for a play to be successful is the correlating factor.  In football, the center needs to snap the ball, the rest of the line needs to block, the receivers need to run the correct routes and the quarterback needs to put the ball in the correct spot on the field.  If just one of these components fails, the play will not be successful - everyone must support their fellow team members.  The same can be said for our Jewish community and the effort that is needed to plan and carry-out a 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The 50th Anniversary team is comprised of the awesome Jewish Federation staff, our terrific Jewish communal agencies and synagogues, our dynamic event chairs and leadership, and of course our incredibly generous event sponsors.  If just one of the components of this team does not support the other, the event can not be successful.

Therefore, I hope that you will join me in thanking Team Jewish Las Vegas for putting together what will be an unforgettable night of celebration and community pride.  As a reminder, the following are the sponsors of The Jewish Federation of Las Vegas 50th Anniversary Celebration.
