Las Vegas Moishe House

I am very pleased to announce that our community’s first-ever Moishe House was formally dedicated yesterday in a beautiful Mezuzah ceremony led by Rabbi Bradley Tecktiel, President of the Board of Rabbis of Southern Nevada.

The vision and mission of Moishe House is “to provide meaningful Jewish experiences for young Jewish adults around the world by supporting leaders in their 20s as they create vibrant home-based Jewish communities for themselves and their peers.  We envision Moishe House as the global leader of pluralistic Jewish life for Jewish young adults by facilitating a wide range of experiences so that they have the leadership, knowledge and community to enrich their Jewish journeys.”  To learn more about Moishe House’s global program please visit their website at www.moishehouse.org and to meet the residents of Las Vegas Moishe House please visit their website at www.moishehouse.org/houses/las-vegas.

Our Jewish Federation is proud to be a partner in the establishment of the Las Vegas Moishe House.  We appreciate the generous support of the Emanuel J. Friedman Philanthropies and Brenden Mann Foundation helping to make the house a reality.  Our Jewish Emerging Leaders program is already collaborating with the Moishe House residents on programs and activities; and the Moishe House residents are eager to “connect” to other Jewish organizations in our Jewish community in order to reach many more young Jewish professionals.  I encourage you to reach out to the Moishe House residents soon and welcome them to our Jewish community.
