For over 25 summers, Camp J has been providing families with an exciting, safe, and welcoming camp experience for families of all backgrounds.

Ages: K-6th Grade [NEW: 7th & 8th Grade LIT program available!]
Cost: ~$340/week*** [Scholarships, Payment Plans & JCC Member Rates Available]
The Schedule
Every week at Camp J is a little different, but we have a full schedule with loads of fun! We are excited to bring back our half-day specialty camps, where your kiddos can choose (most weeks) between one of two weekly specialties in the morning. Then, after lunch, they participate in exciting and engaging Camp J activities like cooking, sports, art & improv. Campers will also enjoy our "Water Days", weekly Mitzvah projects, and Shabbat & awards on Fridays + the return of "Mystery Fridays". Week 1 (June 10 - 14*): Slime Camp
- SLIME CAMP: Ready? Set. SLIME! Get Ready for a whole week of experimenting with different kinds of slime like fluffy slime, cloud slime and more. The mornings will be slime-focused and afternoons will be traditional Camp J activities.
Week 2 (June 17 - 21*): Magic Camp or Petite Pedals (Biking) Camp
- MAGIC CAMP: Our friends at Urban Wizards Academy are excited to bring their wacky wizards club to Camp J! Budding magicians will discover the secrets to making objects levitate, creating their own optical illusions and even mastering the art of teleportation! STEAM is weaved into the mystical mix and campers will also receive essential wizarding tools.
- PETITE PEDALS: Signing up for this camp is as easy as....well, RIDING A BIKE! Our friends at Petite Pedals will lead a week-long bicycle camp, where kiddos will learn bike safety, get comfortable at the wheel and everyone will receive laminated licenses at the end of the week. [Must bring your own bike and helmet. Knee pads and elbow pads are highly recommended. Camp J will store all bikes for the week on-site!]
Week 3 (June 24 - 28): LEGO Camp or Dance Camp
- LEGO CAMP: Beat the summer blues with a LEGO camp by Bricks 4 Kidz! Kids will spend their time learning about the world of engineering, animated movie-making and architecture through hands-on building fun.
- DANCE CAMP: Sashay, grapevine, and shuffle your feet for this amazing dance camp led by professional dancers from Las Vegas' premier dance studio - VZ Dance Studios! During the week, kids will play dance games, learn choreography and experience different kinds of dance to get their whole bodies moving.
Week 4 (July 1 - 5*): Camp J On the Go #1 [TBD: Downtown Summerlin; Spy Ninjas; Uptown Jungle & Cowabunga Bay]
- CAMP J ON THE GO: Welcome to the return of Camp J On the Go! This is one of our favorite weeks of camp, where we take all the campers on a different field trip each day. Bus transportation is provided to and from each field trip location. We have security guards present at every off-site field trip and Camp J maintains a ratio of 1:7 (Staff:Children). Space is limited and we do sell out of this week fast!
Week 5 (July 8 - 12): Theater Camp or Magic Camp
- THEATER CAMP: Our veteran campers asked for more theater... so here it is! We're excited to bring back Mr. Floyd from Welcome to the Theater as a week-long camp specialty, where campers will learn about costume design, storytelling, set design, lighting, makeup and so much more.
- MAGIC CAMP: Want more magic? Then sign up for a second week of Magic Camp with Urban Wizards Academy! During this week, explore even more magic as kiddos receive a MAP with entertaining games and puzzles, providing a magical journey of learning and discovery. Get ready for another full week of dazzling amazement!
Week 6 (July 15 - 19): COLOR WARS
- COLOR WARS: Who will win this year's coveted Ruach Stick? Green? Blue? Yellow? Or will the Red Team be 2-Time Champs? Join Camp J for the return of Color Wars - a whole week of friendly games, competition, songs, excitement and yes... lots of RUACH (spirit!) 4 teams compete...and only 1 team will win! Let's get hype for Color Wars 2024!!!
Week 7 (July 22 - 26): Gymnastics Camp or E-Games Camp
- GYMNASTICS CAMP: We are happy to bring back a camp favorite: gymnastics camp with Miss Kate! Flip your way to fun and tumble into an exciting week "at the gym." We have balance beams, low bars, mats and more for campers to learn gymnastics fundamentals and have a flippin' good time.
- E-GAMES CAMP: Mr. Jay is back for the third year in a row hosting our popular E-Games Camp! Learn some coding and programming fundamentals. Play a variety of different video games with your friends. It all leads up to the annual E-Games Competition with a BIG BIG prize for the winner! Get your head in the E-Game!
Week 8 (July 29 - August 2): Camp J Explorers** [Space is Limited | No AM/PM Care!]
- CAMP J EXPLORERS: Miss Sharon leads a full week of cooking, art, playground time, gardening and so much more! This camp runs in conjunction with our Camp J Overnight for those who either don't meet the overnight grade requirements or aren't *quite* ready to be away from home yet. Space is limited. No AM/PM Care!
Week 8 (July 30 - August 4): CAMP J OVERNIGHT [3rd - 8th Grade] [Cost: $750]
- CAMP J OVERNIGHT: The Camp J Overnight is BACK at Potosi Pines for 2024! Get ready for GAGA, archery, basketball, dance, friendship bracelets, s'mores, chofesh and so much more! Plus, celebrate a meaningful Shabbat under the stars, reconnect with your friends from last summer and make new friends around the UNO tables! Week 9 (August 5 - 9): Camp J On the Go #2 [TBD: Uptown Jungle; Springs Preserve; Discovery Children's Museum, Town Square; Adventuredome]
- CAMP J ON THE GO: You asked... we answered! We know how much our campers love this camp, so we added a second week of field trip fun! Space is limited and we do sell out of this week fast!
Scholarships & Payment Plans: All families must submit the required paperwork to be considered eligibile for financial assistance. The deadline to submit the scholarship form is April 26, 2024. All scholarship forms received after that date will only be approved on an as-need basis. We are also happy to assist in setting up payment plans. If you require financial assistance for Camp J 2024, please reach out to Danica Torchin at danica@jewishnevada.org and she will send you the required form.
AM Care & PM Care: AM Care is available from 7:30 - 8:30 AM for an additional $10/day. PM Care is available from 4:15 - 5:30 PM for an additional $10/day.
JCC Members: JCC Members will receive a 10% discount on the entire cost of their Camp J Summer. Your $150 JCC Family membership could save you as much as $327 on Camp J!
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Before May 1: 100% Refund
- May 2024: 50% Refund
