Our speaker is Dr. Denise Signorelli, Biology Professor at the College of Southern Nevada. Her topic is one in which we are all greatly concerned, "Diet and Cancer”. The Seniors Social Club at Ner Tamid is an exciting program specifically designed for the enjoyment of the senior members (55 years and older) of our Jewish community. The Social Club meets twice a month on Wednesdays at noon. Each meeting offers something slightly different: sometimes it’s pure entertainment with music, dance or comedy programs by professional and semi-professional groups; sometimes it’s informative, with speakers or workshops on maintaining good health habits, reducing stress, or avoiding scams; and other times we just treat each other to our unique talents. Of course, noshing and schmoozing are included at each event – it may be a potluck, catered, or bring your own lunch.
