CONGREGATION NER TAMID, the largest Jewish synagogue in Nevada, is kicking off the Hanukkah season early with its Sisterhood's Annual Hanukkah & Holiday Bazaar at the Temple on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Bazaar is open to the public and offers a one-stop shop for Hanukkah and Holiday gifts sold by 40+ local vendors. Among the many items for sale will be handcrafted jewelry, woodcrafts, artwork, clothing, food, and spices.
Plus, CNT’S Sisterhood will prepare multiple trays of noodle kugel, and CNT's MENSch Club will fry up hundreds of latkes (traditional potato pancakes) at the Temple. There will also be hundreds of cookies for sale, including gluten-free and sugar-free options, at the Holiday Bazaar’s Cookie Court. The cookie sales and a Raffle will raise money for Sisterhood’s Fay Schoenfeld’s Fund 4 Youth scholarships for CNT Religious School students to attend Jewish summer camp. At last year's raffle, a lucky participant took home a big screen TV!
CNT's Social Action Committee will also host its Annual Mitzvah Menorah Project at the Bazaar. Through the Mitzvah Menorah Project, which supports Jewish Family Services, you can purchase age and gender-appropriate gifts for a sponsored child in need. The generosity of Sisterhood and an anonymous Hanukkah Harry also provide a Hanukkah gift for each sponsored child’s family that will include everything needed to celebrate Hanukkah. CNT Sisterhood President Michelle Blank said the Hanukkah & Holiday Bazaar has been held for more than 30 years.
