Review the history and purpose of the U.S. Federal census from 1790-1940. These records are the foundation of family research.
Information found in the records will lead you to finding Immigration and Naturalization records of your ancestors. The lecture will cover how to locate the census records in various years, and how to read and interpret the gold mine of data contained therein, and what to do when your search for your ancestor fails. Also will cover several websites that can be accessed from home computer and provide Tips and Tricks for solving problems.
