About Us

 We are seeking part-time passionate educators to join Temple Sinai's Mark L. Haberkorn Religious School in Summerlin for the 2026-2027 school year. Our Reform Jewish community believes learning should be engaging, meaningful, and fun. We foster a warm, welcoming environment where students build lasting friendships, strengthen their Jewish identity, and connect through values, traditions, holidays, and family experiences that bring Judaism to life.

Position Summary

We're looking for teachers for Sunday mornings for our TK-6th grade program, Wednesday afternoon Hebrew School, as well occasional youth group and religious holiday programming for the 2026-2027 school year. 

We are looking for:

  • Sundays Elementary Judaica 9:15am-12pm and/or
  • Wednesdays Elementary Hebrew 4:15pm-5:30pm
  • Once a month paid staff meetings and paid orientation before the school year begins

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with students
  • Create fun and engaging lessons based on a given curriculum
  • Deliver creative, experiential Jewish education
  • Maintain attendance and classroom management
  • Supervise students during breaks and specialist (art & movement) sessions
  • Work with teaching assistants to support students needs
  • Communicate clearly with supervisor, clergy, teachers and teacher assistants
  • Follow administrative protocols
  • Provide regular communication and check-ins with your supervisor the Director of Education and Engagement

 Skills for Success:

Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Jewish values, practice and tradition
  • Strong classroom presence and ability to engage students
  • Bring creativity, flexibility and strong organizational skills
  • Maintain attendance and classroom management
  • Basic tech and computer skills (email, text, Microsoft, smart boards, etc)

Preferred (but not required):

  • Hebrew reading skills and basic Reform Jewish prayer knowledge
  • Prior lesson planning experience

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work on site at Temple Sinai Las Vegas- Address: 9001 Hillpointe Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89134
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to bend, sit on floor, kneel, and bend down with children repeatedly
