Jewish Nevada - Nevada's Jewish Federation - is appalled by the flagrant and shameful display of bigotry, anti-Semitism, and hatred in Charlottesville, VA this past weekend.  There should be no doubt that these acts of domestic terrorism were the work of white supremacists, neo-Nazis and anti-Semites whose views and actions are anathema to American values.  There can be no equivocation for nor quarter given to those who adhere to an ideology that marginalizes and advocates violence against minorities, seeks to disparage entire ethnic groups, and ultimately fracture the very foundation on which our society stands.  

We, as a Jewish community, know all too well the progression that soon follows should the events in Charlottesville not be met with a resounding rebuke. We cannot and will not allow this to become the new normal in our society.  To that end, we are very appreciative to our Local, State, and Federally elected officials who have offered swift condemnation of the hatred and evil shown over this past weekend. 

Jewish Nevada stands in lockstep with those who were directly impacted by the evil actions in Charlottesville.  We also stand with those locally and nationally who are united against hatred and discrimination of any kind.
