Rabbi Robert Block has been the Rabbi of The Roslyn Synagogue for over 40 year and under his leadership The Roslyn Synagogue has grown tenfold. His warm personality, sense of humor, consummate rabbinic knowledge and thoughtful teaching style have endeared him to congregant and visiting guests. Rabbi Block has been a scholar in residence at several synagogues in the United States and abroad. He has lectured widely and has taught courses at Great Neck Project Identity and at the North Shore Adult Education Institute. Last year, Young Israel Aish's Assistant Rabbi, Rabbi Avi Anderson, was privileged to serve as the Rabbinic Intern at The Roslyn Synagogue under the tutelage of Rabbi Block.
